Lyrics for Our Beloved City

 Our Beloved City

A regal, roused razor ripping rouge from disregard with
pardoned patrons piping over paper pins and yarn waving
guns and guarding gold of gauntlets, gone, and grievance, far, they whistle 'woots' so wildly as they whence from words to stars.

The cumbersome climbed calmly, crowning crowds with crumbled cars
as the atheists admonish all the absence of their art.
The meek hold mighty motions making mortar out of marts while
dystrophy developes in the muscle of what's ours.

We're off to a good start.

What once held heavy horns has Haliburton hooves with
eyes, entered not, it eradicates our goods.
The Goliath growled and groaned a gargled gasp from where it stood
trampling they that tote their trust like thistle thickets and burnt wood.

A mantra moaned from mourning mice makes moments out of Monsters
and markets turn to massives made of orchestrated mongers.
There's carbon on the catwalk clogging class and causing cancer while the world
and what it was
steeps in questions unanswered.

It's a babel built on Bordeaux brick with bible belt believers born again to break and bend the dirge of bound backed bequers.
Supporting stifled sticklers stuck on stones soaked in their sin and reveling in rifles made of re bar and religion.
Just fit in goddammit.

Now turmeric temples topple onto trampled, thoughtless graves
while the sun itself succeeds in a sarcastic charade.
With our eyes a riddled blue and our skin a tepid gray we have marched,
mocked and meddled.and missed the meaning of today.

hold     strong    new    dawn   it won't    be long    before the calm. So let it rain
wash our ruins clean.
May the stains solidify our means.
What remains   will do nothing but feed.
One in the same, it gorges to breath.

Though collapse seems immanent I'll spend to ease the pain.
A trembling god with broken bones lies posed and on display.
While boards block up the posters of his herum of mistakes
and Hera scolds her strongest pawn,
Give up, just let it rain,
it'll all be okay.-Lyrics by Dp Music Maere.
